Solution Architecture

Business Integra prides itself on being a thought leader in the enterprise architecture arena having provided vital support to major architecture initiatives for high profile clients to include several federal agencies. Since enterprise and solution architecture solutions come in a variety of approaches, our company has modeled our IT architecture offerings around the current needs of the industry. We also make a commitment to each and every current and future client of ours that we will be sure to keep our architecture solutions in alignment with the evolving trends associated with this broad discipline. Our staff possess real world experience in a variety of architectural approaches such as service-oriented architecture (SOA), cloud architecture, traditional application-based architecture and rules-based architecture that enable organizations of all sizes to mobilize their business strategies through leveraging their IT assets. Regardless to the type of architectural approach best suited for our client’s objectives, Business Integra possesses proven architectural planning, modeling and realization services that put our client’s at the forefront of innovation.

As there is no one-size-fits-all architectural blueprint for target architectures, Business Integra begins all of our enterprise architecture engagements by conducting a fine-grained requirements elicitation and engineering set of activities that applies the appropriate context and constraints for the future information system. Requirement rationalization and decomposition allows our resources to not only develop requirements to build towards but also results in the ability to identify candidate capabilities for reuse across the enterprise when we assist our client’s with component identification and modeling. The output of these activities is a fully engineered set of functional and non-functional requirements that is used to identify architectural components.

In order to streamline the identification of candidate architecture capabilities and services, Business Integra uses the fine-grained requirements derived in the previous phase to complete a traceability exercise that maps every requirement statement and use case to a candidate capability in the target architecture. Components are created based upon the needs expressed within the requirements, achieving the maximum efficiency and least cost of implementing the new environment. The result is a set of candidate architecture components that can be modeled, orchestrated and developed in a manner that allows IT investments to be more efficiently leveraged across the enterprise.

Once the full set of architecture components has been defined and agreed to by all stakeholders, our resources will add the required attributes to describe the component in the context of the enterprise architecture and model the architectural components in a way that achieves the optimum efficiency for our clients. Metadata such as hosting attributes, messages, operations between components, internal component activity and dependencies between the various components are identified to attain full traceability within the target architecture. The output of this set of activities is a detailed architecture specification that will serve as a key, required input for starting the design activities in the first major step towards realizing the to-be enterprise architecture.

Business Integra has several years of experience in leading large scale enterprise architecture engagements in a variety of industries.
